It now dawns upon me, the considerably massive 360hp RWD responsibility with as much torque as a GT I have. I will be extremely careful and considerate of the power at my right foot. And I will be considerate of other drivers and my surroundings. Here goes my first RWD Winter.
At least starting in 2nd is much easier and smoother than it’d been in my ST.
TO EVERYONE ELSE!!(O_o)

Just an odd unrelated question...
Has your differential been “sticky” when cold?
I’ve noticed on mine, when it’s cold out and I leave the driveway I get a little crabbing out of the back end on initial turn out of the driveway. It happens both when I’m backing out and going forward. Just checking to see if it’s something I should mention to the dealer when I get oil done...

I have like 500 ft-lb at the wheels from idle. God help me...

As long as you’re not completely inept you’ll be fine. I’ve survived 7 winters with 325hp and RWD (on all-seasons) without an incident.

My GT has 400~ I’ve done 2 tours of winter in it. Be gentle with the throttle

But Doug says cars can’t start in second gear, only rare cars like his viper. ;)

I live in the desert. What is snow? I’d like to find out but my skin has freeze-dried and fallen off my bones.

Try 500+ lbs of torque and lake effect snow on the west side of MI. Also i dont put weight in the rear because flatbed

It’s possible it’s your tires. I get that same feeling from the front wheels as I back out. Also RWD. Michelin PSS’s here until this weekend.

I wintered in my Z06 just fine. 400+ RWTQ there. You’ll be ok. Just remember that throttle is not always the answer when there is snow on the ground. Just, you know, most of the time.

It’s possible. I’m still running the Pirelli P Zeros that came on the car. Of course I only have 1500 miles so they’re not exactly worn yet.

I don’t have 1000 miles on my PSS set. It’s just how they handle the driveway. I was worried at first, but I think it’s ok.
